I have downloaded a program called ''lightshot''. It takes awesome pictures of your screen and you can customize them. The link is:

There seems to be a limit on what you can upload to the site.  I had a limit of 165kb.  I uploaded one screen shot and now it says my limit is 37.5kb.

What do I have to do to continue to upload a screenshot?  I had the picture made smaller but it is still over 37 kb.  Its like the system is telling me I cannot upload anything else to the site - and I've only uploaded two pictures ever!

Scott, use an external imaging hosting service, such as http://www.posting.org, to host your image rather than uploading here as an attachment!

Or imageshack.com, or imgur.com, or pasteboard.co, or any others mentioned in this topic. I personally use imgur.com and do fine with that. It is free.

I think this information could be updated for Windows 8.

Here's a quote from the Microsoft website, no Paint needed:

"Press the Windows logo key aa922834-ed43-40f1-8830-d5507badb56c_39.+PrtScn. Or, if you're using a tablet, press the Windows logo button aa922834-ed43-40f1-8830-d5507badb56c_39.+ the volume down button.

The screen will dim for a moment when the screen is copied and saved as a file in the Screenshots folder (which is in your Pictures folder)."

Maybe there's a similar way for Windows 7/XP as well.

Or install Imgur app? Android/ios. Interweb interface for non mobile.

No registration required

However, I recommend registration to enable "High quality uploads" -- preventing jpeg rape.

I'm just testing to see if I'm successfully uploading a screenshot.
