Calling someone "nasty" is a Trump thing. First, I didn't call you nasty-- your comment simply came across as a snappy, "Duh-uh" answer . He frequently referred to Clinton as that nasty woman. And you in turn deny this???   I was being a bit obvious in my sarcasm, but I did not intend to be hurtful. I'm sure this is true but it came across quite nasty and also demeaning, as if I'd done something wrong. We all have different opinions. I wish you could have found something else in my long comment to reply to. I'm sorry queen, but I don't have time to comment to long theological political comments (not sarcasm) Sometimes I just can't help myself, but as the adage goes "if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all." I am not attacking you with what I say next but merely defending myself; as "No surprise there" likely falls into that category as well.

Fairway you don't have any time, but you got all that from my comment of "what a surprise?" What a surprise.

You don't have any time, but you got all that from a flippant comment of "what a surprise?" What a surprise.

I was lead to believe this was nastiness because you went on to say in a seemingly but (hopefully) not intentionally, condescending way, "I don't need a test to label me", this is what caused me to think this.

Read my other comment, about  sports. I'm not talking about social issues or lifestyles, but things such as sports.

And please stop celebrating that I'm a conservative-turned-socialist.

Ha  ha . Just kidding :)

This kind of a statement can only come from a judgmental little turd. Such a jerk would be passing a judgment on someone and would have no right whatsoever to do this unless they are an arrogant, smug, big mouth; and, we all know that this is not what you are or what you want us to think about you. One must be careful with how things are phrased. Better would be something like, "This passage feels nasty to me...is that the intention here? To be nasty?" This is non-judgmental and offers an opportunity for quality social intercourse.

You're not even old enough to vote...if you are as old as you say you are to be. And imagining the cycle of events, if you have reached your twelfth year yet, you still have a third of your life to go before you can vote. I would think that there are more interesting and important matters that concern you at present than something that is six years into the future from now.

This truly interests me. It's an European - US thing. Question: why is being social wrong?

Listen, you seem to say being social means being a socialist. Is that what Americans think? In Europe we do not.

It's quite different over here I guess. Being a liberal means being conservative over here. And if you're a socialist, you're still far from being a communist. And if you're social, you're just a nice, friendly chap. Nothing to do with being a socialist. Not all socialists are nice and friendly over here. Actually, many of them are quite nasty ;)!!

"social issues" are issues that are debated that involve social conflicts.

Being social is not the same as being socialist. Being social means, of course, starting conversations, being friendly, ect., totally different.

Blah...blah...blah..

To be honest this goes in one ear and out the other.

Please shut up, you're pissing me off.

I've had enough.

If it went in one ear and out of the other then you should not be feeling "pissed off" as you put it, but then you already have contradicted yourself.

Watch out, Fairway...that borders on abusive language. It seems to me that people who cannot handle nor accept truth often resort to foul and inappropriate language when they have nothing of value to say.

No, Gwynplaine clearly enjoys insulting and instigating others with his smart comments.

Nothing smart about them, and nothing sarcastic about my writing. I was very direct with you and I did not mask anything in the least. You wrote a statement which, is in fact, highly judgmental because of the exact words which you chose to express your point of view. This was not my doing, but yours, and yours alone. I called you on it and your retort was to dismiss it as being worthless to you. You then inserted expletives to underline your feelings about your post.

If anyone was being insulting, it was you for telling me to "shut up" and that you were not going to reply to this "@#$!" no more. You cannot expect to open up your big fat keyboard in an open public forum and say what ever comes to your mind without a reaction if someone else finds such a posting offensive. That is not only arrogant but it is delusional and unrealistic.
