Then I found this version on amazon. By far the best version I have ever played on. Storage is great, I can even fit the whole set of my futuristic Stratego version in the box. pieces are easy to hold and usually won't tip over when you slide them. This set also came with an Infiltrator piece that works somewhat like the spotter, but it also comes with all the original pieces. This way, you can choose to play with this special piece or not. I actually think that this piece makes the game a lot more exciting.

The Stratego infiltrating variant I have not played yet - but I think it is worth considering to buy me the game with the infiltrating!

Although I like the new version is not so with the stickers !

Wow Spece,

Seems like you are a stratego fanantic! That is ok though, I have a bunch of chess boards that collect dust in my closet. I only really use 1 set when someone feels up for the challenge. Oh by the way, what do you think about your new set with the infiltrator piece?

Hy HmmNess,

it's great fun to play with the infiltrator - I think it's a TOP extension of the game! I hope that it will be introduced here soon for Single Player comes :)

I used to own one from the late 70s when I was kid so I'd image it would look like the 1980 board. In the US its tougher to find an original Stratego board with a 10x10 board, when most stores carry either the Sci-Fi game or Fire and Ice. I currently do own the Fire and Ice game, but playing that vs the online version just doesn't compare when you have eight less pieces at your disposal.

How about a complete new stratego game?
Instead of 40 pawns you'll get 80 pawns on the board.
20 bombs, 16 explorers, 8 minors, 6 sergeants, 6 lieutenants, 4 captains, 3 majors, 2 colonels, 1 general, 1 marshall,
1 spy, 3 infiltrators, 3 spotters, 3 infilspotters, 2 spotrators,...................

and of course the flag!

And maybe you can have some serginors, some colajors and some marshorers as well?

Gimme your thought! lol :D
