Thanks, but I still don't see how that accounts for the difference in my buch points.  It looks like my unplayed opponent was Morx during the week where the numbers got off track.  Can you explain the specifics about how I went from 71 buch points after round 4 to 117.5 after round 5?  Here are my own calculations of my scores if that would be helpful:  https://snag.gy/O7Xeh8.jpg

I think the more important question is whether these changes affected all players in the same way, or if some players may have been disadvantaged relative to others.

Also, I don't get how no shows can lead to half points:  Every result for a player is either 0, 1, 3, or 6, right?  Since there are no fractions, the sum of such numbers can't be a fraction.

It has to do with the 'multi game' setting, which determines how many max. points can be given out for a match, in case this is an odd number, it will award  half ( so .5 's ) at some point.

Your end of round 5 image above now agrees with my calculations but it is different that what was reported here:  http://forum.strateg...o-2016-round-6/

The numbers you have for after round 6 & 7 are still a mystery to me, and it's best not to consider round 8 yet since not all the games have been completed.  Could you give me the definition or formula for how Buch points are being calculated for this tournament?  I thought it was just the sum of the points of one's opponents.  Also, I'm not sure why maximum points for a match is a relevant factor or how that is being used.  Thanks.

In case there is a bye, people get half of the buch, which can result in 0.5's

Buch = all points accumulated by your opponents throughout the tournament ( round 1 till the end )

Mbuch = buch,  leaving out your best and worst scoring opponents
