Thanks Bizevr,

We will inform Admins of the case. Don't know if it is the internet security program that is to strong or if there is really an issue to bother about.

I got a message this evening that a threat has been detected for Malware.  Apology that I could not copy/paste the exact message.

Perhaps this is because of the adware causing this and not the site itself?  Many of those links will lead you to programs that can mess up your computer if you aren't careful.

Do any of you use Ad Block?  I get no virus messages because, I just block out the Adware

I've been facing this problem for a couple of weeks again. It comes every day I log in the playing site. The source that is blocked by my antivirus is http://game.stratego...aderTimeout.swf" a suspicious file/pattern 'EXP/CVE-2016-4223.B.

I would be glad if you could tell me that it is just an add. I do not use adblocker for personal reasons.

Other than the warning are any of you having trouble logging into the game. I believe this is a virus protection setting that is too high. It is related to adobe flash player, but I don't think your computer is at risk.

How sure are you, QueenBee1?  It looks like we all have a different antivirus, and we seem to be getting something.  I get it every time I log in (exactly as typed below), probably for a few months now:

SWF:Malware-gen [Trj]

in.../GameClient/clearHideLoaderTimeout.swf

... ram Files (x86) \InternetExplorer\iexplore.exe

It doesn't look good to me.  The antivirus says it quarantines it each time.......

You should indicate the antivirus you are using, some of them are quite prone to false positives. Avira, for example.

A lot of malware is self encrypted using unusual routines to obfuscate the code and make it harder to identify. If legit software uses the same encryption/compression method, the AV might consider it suspicious.

When you have a virus/malware alert, look up the suspicious file on your HD and submit it to virustotal.com so that many AV's can scan the file and provide their opinion.

If you have been using a software for years and suddenly it triggers a virus alert, what are the odds this software has gone bogus (low) and what are the odds it is a false positive (quite high). Sure, the website might have been hacked and healthy suspicion is in order.

Finally, a lot of software lives off ads. Adware is considered malware and might trigger your AV. Poker clients are a good example of this, these trigger AV's all the time.
