I agree, yesterday  Wisconsin had 96 F with heat indexes of 110-115. So it's humid and I am prone to bronchitis due to weak lungs, so all this humidity is killing me.

Unfornately Lo you sir are correct. Mankind is only making things worse.

Like Chernobyl, it was supposed to help people, but it killed instead.

Got to go read other posts.

What did I say? There were bets taken on Bremain and when it lost they had to cover their options. The markets will continue to rise for decades as people have nowhere else to put their savings. Some of Europe will still let you put money in the bank at 0%, but the negative interest rates are already there and in Japan.

Of course there is always another chance of a crash, but I think the too big to fail banks know better. I think.

HBO has this funny show called This Week Tonight starring John Oliver and last night they did a funny bit on dealers giving car loans to anyone with a pulse. It was mostly about the buy here pay here car lots, but I am sure GMC and FMC plus other major lenders are probably doing the same things as before the crash.

Bundling subprime car loans and having ratings agencies stamp them as AAA securities and then selling them to pension funds that are desperate for yield. Of course we have seen this whole mess unfold in the MBS business in 2008 so is it any surprise they are now doing it with cars? Cars that lose 20% of their value as you drive them off the lot. The buy here pay here lots are allowed to charge 29% interest. The repo business must be booming. Maybe I should invest in a few of those flatbed trucks. There is a site now just for repo sales. One of many I am sure. ReposDirect

The UK has not left the European Union yet. The referendum was non-binding.

That being the case, can they just pretend it didn't happen?

It's binding on Theresa May , unless she prefers a career outside politics.

OK, so we've got Brexit plusplusplus. Clinton won the 3 public debates by a landslide. She put in millions more money too. Got tons of surrogates, including the President and his wife, and world's famous celebrities. Got the back-up of those who felt the Bern. What else was there to do for her? Was it a lost game from the beginning? Only fault I counted was the deplorables-comment, but for the rest she had a pretty good campaign (her stamina aside).

Now my country is next. With us the campaigns have just started and we've got our own Trump who is for sure the new number 1 party over here. Gladly, I live in a Coalition country. Our Trump (Wilders) needs another party for government. And he won't get any. So he's kept out for sure. Maybe that's the trick ;)!

Not really a bomb. More like a fake Stratego bomb that doesn't really explode as you can use it over and over again ;). I explained all this in the political thread but there won't be a majority for it as the winner doesn't take all, like with the Brits. The number 1 party wants Nexit indeed but everybody else has already said they won't cooperate with him (it's a party of 1 member). So he can win all he want but the max poll is 40 out of 150 seats so nowhere near 76... it's a lost vote in any case. The true socialists want out too but they want to reign for the first time in history too. So they will compromize. The only bomb we still have over here is DieselBOOM ;).

Brexit came and went. Nobody seemed to notice, nobody seemed to care. It's all just a show folks. A distraction while they pick your pocket. Bread and Circuses. Peasants voting for the wrong thing over and over again.
