>It's all a scheme to trap the people with more regulations to take their money.

Nearly right, but completely inverted. The money-trappers are those who have magicked up the perception of a hoax.

Well, if I am one of the ones who has "magicked" a perception of a hoax, I can categorically disprove your theory as no one has allowed me to trap any of their money!     :D

I just watched College Tour over here which is just like in the US a TV-show of students asking a celebrity questions. Now they had the Canadian journalist Naomi Klein who also wrote books about the environment so it's perfectly viewable for non-Dutchies as well: https://www.npo.nl/c...7/VPWON_1276984.

And she is real about Trump. She said not to get your hopes up that Moeller will save the day. As Fairway already said, you would be getting Pence anyway so you're further off. But foremost you need to have your own plan, not just be an anti-Trump-movement.

She appreciated Trump in putting the mask off. He just tells it as it is while the Republicans now attacking him, the establishment-kind, want to have the same policies, but just want to kiss and don't tell. Get it done the hush-hush way. At least with Trump you get the real deal.

She wrote a book about him which is about the shockdoctrine. That indeed is something Trump loves to use. Klein does appreciate not getting a good crisis go to waste. So when the shock's that big, you best use it to improve things. It's just that Trump uses the tactic for the wrong reasons, for instance demanding his travelban when some terrorist in Europe blows himself up, rather then take solid environmental measures when Florida is under hurricane-attacks.

When you sit back in you comfy recliner watching football (a game I can appreciate until someone gets hurt) many of our citizens in PR still have no power. About half of American's polled don't know that PR is a part of the US.

A question I've always had is if a place is not a State, how can it be part of the "United States"?

Must be the template of the Queen, Gary. She does it all the time too. All over the world she flies and be the Queen on these territories but they are no State either. I guess it's the same with England just being a part of the UK but not being GB... it's all United, Gary.

Thanks for that, queenbee1. It was interesting to look at the story of American imperialism. I didn't know the history behind all that. Not only Puerto Rico, but Haiti and Cuba and all the other Caribbean islands in that area, plus The Philippines and Guam were acquired by the US in 1898 after the short 3 month Spanish-American War. Not only that but we'd acquired the Hawaiian islands in a different coup against the rightful monarch there in the same decade. This was truly the period of the birth of American imperialism.

A glimmer of hope out of a devastating event.

The stampede of Puerto Ricans to Florida is bad news for Trump

I know Trump got chided into tossing those rolls a paper towels to the crowd, but doesn't know how to be presidential. It was embarrassing to see him do this, but it's not the first nor will it be the last. Sure he can act presidential, but all sociopaths learn to mimic feelings so that they fit in. If NK is bluffing and they really can't send a missile to Japan or the US is a very dangerous game of chicken.

IMO Trump can best deal with NK by letting China know it's their problem and stop responding to anything the megalomaniac says. A POTUS does not stoop to name calling or threats. Being the President means behaving presidential, not acting.

"Do. Or do not. There is no try." Yoda

Flipping Florida would be devastating to the Republican Party so I say let them all come. We are nearly at capacity already and I had no idea how bad it was. They have UE at 12% and owe 70 billion to most likely a hedge fund that promised an American's pension fund a decent return. They borrowed money at 8.5% due to the high risk of default. Trump says that PR will need a bailout.

I have no idea where they will stay. The levels of poverty there are worse than any state in the US. PR is billions in debt. Maybe we can bring them all here and turn PR into on of the Donald's resorts. Level the entire island and start over. Call it Trump's Resort International.

This is not a political issue "it's the economy stupid." Bill Clinton's campaign slogan that may have won him the Presidency before most of you were born. Looking back I still think Ross Perot caused Bush l to lose the election along with the invasion of Iraq. Back then Dick Cheney can be easily be found quoting that if Bush didn't pull out it would result in exactly what happened when his son went into Baghdad. Now there is no such thing as Iraq. Just another failed state the courtesy of American Imperialism.
