Dear Mod,

I realized today that I lost lots of points without warning or explanation, so I came here to find out and I see that garlick has reported me for a draw refusal: http://forum.strateg...-2019/?p=471943

I have been playing this game for a while now and every single day I come across abusers who use foul language or waste precious time by disconnecting and connecting when the game doesn't go their way. Never was I aware that moderators take action or that the rules are being enforced.

So I appreciate the fact that someone is being on top of abuses and welcome the work that you are doing, but in my case, I ask you to please reconsider. Firstly, this was certainly not a clear draw situation and I don't think it was really a no-progress draw situation either. Secondly, when garlick asked me to draw I was not aware that to refuse is against the rules, I would've complied and definitely intend to do so in the future.

I respect garlick and the work you do here by enforcing the rules, but this was a first offense and I received no prior warning. I kindly ask that you reconsider or lower the penalty.

Respectfully,

Janhunsler

Just a side question for you, but how did you get to be Janhunsler in the game while you are Janhunsler1 in the Forum?

I use Apple Game Center to login on iOS, that login info doesn’t work to post here so I made a new login for the forum.

Hello and welcome. I am just a player like ya self. The MT is in a bit of a flux right now. They are usually very prompt. while ya wait jump into a match and earn some pts-- just a thought. ;)

So how long will it take to get a reply?

.

Apologies for such a slow response. I'm afraid we haven't gotten used to our new forum arrangement quite yet. Checking in on Ask the MT will have to become a more regular thing with the mod team.

That said, there will be no reconsideration of a draw refusal penalty in this case. It was a clearcut 10 minute delay without advancement and you were even given more than ample notice in the BattleChat. There is no leniency built into the draw refusal penalty schedule because the infraction was long ago deemed exceedingly onerous. The second offense results in an ELO reduction to 100. Third is a PB.

The good news? All penalties fall off one's record in 12 months.
