Hello everyone, hopefully others can contribute to this. I would really love your input. I was wondering what your thoughts would be on a point system for the pieces in Stratego like the one for Chess (1 point for pawns, 3 points for knights etc.). Having this could help players in understanding the value of their different pieces in considering tradeoffs and bait for traps etc. How would you describe the point value of the pieces? I know it is different than chess because the sheer number of pieces is more important than in chess, and there is also the information/lack of information factor. Still, what kind of point system would you suggest? Is a general worth two colonels, or a colonel and a major, or a colonel, a major and a captain? I know it all depends, but can we establish any general rules?
