In this thread, Forum members are asked to post their personal feelings about what it means to be an MT; what role does the MT serve in their point of view (please describe); who might be qualified to be an MT AND WHY?; If you believe you are qualified to be an MT, please explain why that is...if you would like to suggest someone for consideration, please...let it be someone who has NOT been an MT before. Thanks.

I rest my case, astros...

P.S. Any replies to this topic should remain on point, please.

P.P.S. For those who do not understand my comment...people are talking all about how the community should elect an MT, but as no one from the community has been willing to answer this simple question, it validates my idea that the most qualified people for MT are not interested, and those that might be may not be qualified at all.

Anyone who thinks the Earth is flat must be a fool...we have incontrovertible proof...

Someone well qualified would be:

One who enforces the rules as well as the spirit of the rules, stays objective and does not favor their buddies over people they do not know, is fair and consistent, loves the game and is committed to improving the community.

Could this thread be moved to the MT subforum please?

It's a discussion, well, attempt at, between members how they feel about the implementation of a MT role. It doesn't really belong to any of the MT subforum sections ( Rules, Announcements, Reports, Ask the MT )

MT members devote much time for discussing not only cases but occasionally policies and rules. We each of us put in about 4-5 appearances a week and the volunteering spirit couldn't be higher than with the current team.

Change will always come, however, and the MT is no different. Nonetheless, as long as the rules are followed (albeit perhaps with a certain amount of honest judicial prerogative making exceptions), there will be as much consistency in our enforcements as is possible.

In my opinion it should be felt as a duty by all decent players on the site to contribute to the MT at some time. Those of you who have played for years should not sit idly by forever. My two cents.
