Trouble starting games

This problem occurs when beginning a game. am able to setup pieces before the start but once both sides are ready am greeted by a blank red screen which doesn't change. this occurs for single player, multiplayer, 10-piece or 40-piece. nothing loads. have tried to enable adobe flash for the site. am not sure what the problem is. am using Win10 if that makes any difference. if someone has a solution, that be great to hear!

Hi Dnoz,

unfortunately stratego.com was left with a few bugs from the original developers, some of which may never be fixed. Thought it runs mostly smooth, weird red screen issues are a common problem.

 

The best advice I have is to clear your cache and run stratego.com on Chrome, which in my experience is the browser it works best on. Someone else may have better help for you, hopefully the cache fixes it for you though. I will move this topic into the multiplayer section, you should get more help there.

UPDATE: with a 2nd account am able to play games, everything is fine. but the original account > profile picture not showing, trophies not showing and again no games will start. both accounts are linked via facebook. only difference is one was made estimated 5 years ago and the other 6 months ago. I confirm some years ago somebody had the same issue and it was solved by using Chrome as browser


If you don't know where you go ... you have a lot of chance to arrive elsewhere ...

Hi Dnoz, when the game starts, is it wriiten loading or the page is only red? And, are you able to chat with your opponent or not?

 

From my point of view, the browser doesn't make any difference (maybe I'm noob in it, but I don't really believe the browser can have anything to do). I guess, it could be related with the number of pages you have.

 

Did you use the second account on the same browser or you changed?

am on Chrome with both accounts and always have used Chrome. Just made another attempt. I get the basic background with no board. am able to talk to my opponent who replied "screen isn't loading, I don't know what is going on" so guess this bug reflects on my opponents as well or was mere coincidence. but last time I tried my opponent left which game me a win. to also note the red screen went away this time and was greeted by the image of the red and blue Majors.

Sometimes the problem may be on the new app side if you're on the desktop, I think. I've stopped communicating with my opponents prior to the game because it seems that when I do I get the Initializing Error message and the game is nullified.
