Request opening refusal case against Theon.

He did not attack once the entire 18 minutes on game, shuffled around, did nothing to advance, and refused three requests for draw.

The case is indeed open. There happen to be 3 cases going on with this same fellow simultaneously. Some of the moderators have been absent last week so this one should get pushed along soon. Sorry for the delay. You haven't been forgotten.

Thanks

Player DDD/DDC was not found guilty of draw refusal. garlick, we advise you to send the second request 10 minutes after the first request, instead of 7 minutes in this case.

Hi there is a misunderstanding, my second draw refusal was 11 mn after the first one as you can see in the last screenshot, the 7 minutes screenshot was just for the timeline of history of event. So I don't understand why the draw doesn't occur in this case, as there was NOT a single relevant move from his side ? Thanks for explain the case to me !

Actually, garlick, for me this case is non-starter because you have no graveyard pics. I didn't even get to your timestamps when looking at your evidence. For me, now that I do look for them I do not find them. I see two screenshots that show 7 minutes have elapsed but those timestamps are not on refusal screens and so are meaningless to me anyway. Unfortunately, in this case we have nothing to go on. Sorry.

Alright I’ll move on, even though this case was real. Any tips to not be punished by the phone aspect (apart from not playing on it ;) ?

You have to have timestamps on the screens, especially the refusal screens, for one. Some phones have this ability native to the phone. Mine does not so I use one I found in Google play: https://play.google....ephotovideofree

For two, on the phone you need to get a graveyards pic at the same time for each refusal screen you show. Either just before or after, but very near.

Lottorush, I only see one refusal screen and a defeat screen. To prove your claim you'll need a second refusal screen ideally 10 minutes apart from the first showing no progress in the game in between them. Sorry, but we can't open a case without sufficient evidence. If you have questions, please see the evidence rules at the link at the bottom of any of my posts.

If you come up with that second refusal screen, let us know.

Shows everything.  I forced a trade for marshalls but all he did was shuffling and refuse a draw continuing.

The trouble with being a victim is that it's easy to feel the world should agree with you. Here, though, you must prove it. If you can show 10 minutes of no game progress between refusal screens, then you have proven the affair. Without that, then no, you have not.

The second link shows more screen shots, including the 10 minute period of no advancement.

I'd like to report THEON for draw refusal. His 3 and 4 were exposed and and he refused to progress the game.

https://imgur.com/a/ogOzrGs.

Moderator note: the correct spelling of the accused is theon.

MT ruled this one as No case, unfortunately, because only four minutes passed between the draw refusals. This is simply not enough time. You tell your opponent in chat that he has 5 minutes, but the 5 minute between draw refusal rule only applies to "clear" draws (e.g. two marshals running around the lake, no miners on either side, or spies). In a situation like yours, we need 10 minutes between each refusal because theon can still make progress in the game, especially because your flag is open.

Apologies for the very late response- three cases open against this player at one time was very interesting to deal with.

Draw refusal from Theon:

Guilty.

Pending admin action, theon will receive a penalty of -113 ELO points for refusing a valid draw in a game against arioch, who will receive +13 as a result.
