Does it often take the MT more than 24 hours to open a case?

Lunchbox1 will receive a 25 point penalty and Major Nelson will be restored 25 points for the offender's double chasing.

I would like to report Ioannis Tsimiski for continuous chasing. I surrendered after 5 min video (hope according to the rules). He had 8 and 6 I had 3, 3, 2. How can I upload the video so that no the whole community can see my setting?

Thank you mt for looking into this

I did send the link to the video as prove to Sebastien (Napoleon 2), as I don‘t want to show to the public. Looking forward to your verdict.

.
John, no verdict will be rendered unless the evidence is made public.

See the following:

1.5 Claims Against Others Must Be Made Publicly: You may always pm one of the moderators for assistance, but please understand that no complaint against another player or forum member will be processed by the Moderator Team privately. All such complaints and the accompanying evidence must be made in the correct public forum, and links to these can be found listed below under each specific type of offense.

Each case that is brought before the MT in a public post will receive a careful review of the evidence to determine whether the accused has indeed cheated, refused a valid tie request, shown severely unsportsmanlike behavior, or was abusive in BattleChat or on the Forum. Our decision will be final unless further compelling evidence is presented.

1.6 Evidence Availability and Sensitive Information: All links and images presented for a claim must work and remain available to the Moderator Team until the case is decided. After the MT has published its verdict if a player feels his posts contain sensitive information such as a setup, he may hide his own post or edit it in such a way as to block whatever information he chooses, or he may remove or disable his screenshot image links within the post. If anyone else has copied his image links in their responses, he may at that time request the MT to edit or hide such replies of other forum members.

A player may block out parts of the gameboard in his screenshots when he originally posts his claim, but doing so may affect the MT's ability to judge certain cases. If you do this, it is encouraged to keep "unblocked" screenshot versions in your files to present if necessary. If requested by the MT, these unblocked images will then need to be posted publicly.

Hallo Gary. I can‘t blank out the setting in a video....

I have sent the link to the Video to Sebastien. He in turn will share it with the MT. But I wouldn‘t like the Video to appear in the public....

Hope this is acceptable with you

And I ask for a win not a tie, as this game was wone without double chasing of my opponent.

If. You deem it necessary I can take each one picture of one chasing and the victory screen out of the video to present to the public.

Let me know if you insist on this

That sounds like an option that will work, John.  :)

The public requirement is concrete.  If you can take some screenshots out of the video and then block them out however you want, you can post them here in the double chasing reporting thread and we can likely rule on the double chasing for you.  Great idea.  And yes, if we agree it will be a win for you.  That's the penalty for double chasing.

For the future it would be good to figure out how to block out parts of video. Hopefully that information will find you.  I'm sure it's out there.  I don't video myself so have no idea.

So. Here are 2 pictures from video

I spent now 10 min trying to upload with imgur. I can‘t see the links wonder whether you can see them.

I don‘t want to wast more time with this.

Suggestion: If 2 of you have reviewed the video and you come to a verdict. Then place the link to the video for a short amount of time as you deem necessary to the public, and then remove it again.

Would this be acceptable if you can‘t see the photo posts?

John, it takes three votes to pass a normal conviction decision such as this. The links you have posted work fine. This is how you could do it in the future, though I might ask you to turn the images horizontal. 🙂

Now we'll open a case against Ioannis Tsimiski.

There is just a move of 4 pieces in turn for 5 min with 2 draw requests from his side...

You could also claim 15 second abuse in this same case if 75% of his moves over only 2 minutes are of 15 seconds in length.  But you would need to show the video for this, and blurred out if you wanted that.

Apologies, it has been a slow time for moderator actions. Your case is still up on the board. We don't have enough votes on it yet, though. You haven't been forgotten.

Reporting player Martin38 for double chasing. Playing on my account jnz

https://imgur.com/a/WEHAhNy

I took many screenshots bc he tried to avoid the 5 minutes in the same position just going one space back. That allowed me to move one space closer to his flag, but then he started again the double chasing.

A case will be opened but since he is a first time offender, the punishment will not be 100 points.  Here is the penalty schedule below, if upheld:

Penalty schedule:

  1.  Lost game (and thus point adjustment) + Warning letter
  2.  Lost game (and thus point adjustment) + 100 point deduction + Warning letter
  3.  Lost game (and thus point adjustment) + 100 point deduction + 1 week ban + Warning letter
  4.  Lost game (and thus point adjustment) + ELO to 100 penalty + 1 month ban + Warning letter
  5.  Lost game (and thus point adjustment) + Reset

  1.
