Reporting soldersnake1 for draw refusal and for double chasing. His only movable pieces were a marshal and a general.  I had 2 lieutenants, 1 sergeant and 2 miners.  My flag was bombed, and so apparently was his. Two of my pieces advanced on flanks, where they were blocked by the marshal and general that were alternating back and forth to circumvent the two-square rule. He did so for ten minutes after he refused a draw that I proposed. He then refused the second draw and continued double chasing. The screenshots are here:

The timestamps are printed at the bottom right corner. I do not have the screenshot of the second draw refusal, but at least the double chasing is clear and unequivocal.

Please restore 12 points, deduct 100 points from soldersnake1 and put him on the list of the violators.

.
SQA, apologies for the delay. This case fell through the cracks.

I have moved your post to this reporting topic from the draw refusal one because that claim fails immediately without a second refusal screenshot, whereas your other claim for double chasing might be upheld, though I must state that you have not technically shown double chasing at your first screenshot at 10:50.

In that screenshot there is separation of the pieces and chasing requires adjacency, even in the ISF rules. At the end 12 minutes later, at 11:02, we can see the adjacency, true, but one screenshot does not make two separated by the needed 5 minutes. Nevertheless, the long duration (1:11) of your game attests to your complaint so we'll see.

A case will be opened for double chasing here.

As an aside comment it would be nice to hear a platinum player's approach to this situation from your perspective. How would they have played it out?

GaryLShelton, thank you for moving my post to here. It was my oversight that I did not take the screenshot of the second draw refusal, so I agree that the draw refusal claim should be dismissed due to insufficient evidence.

As to the double chasing, I understand what you are saying about the adjacency. I think I still can make the case on the theory of res ipsa loquitur. The screenshots show that (1) my opponent had only two movable pieces left: marshal and general; (2) for more than ten minutes these two pieces did not allow any other piece to be moved except the miner that moved from J1 to H2. The only way to achieve this is through double chasing. There is simply no other possibility.

On the charge of refusing a draw there is not enough evidence.

On the charge of double chasing the MT votes guilty of a 1st degree offense.  soldersnake1 will have 25 points deducted from his rating and he will receive a 1st degree warning letter.  Player SQA will have 25 points added to his rating.  Pending admin action, of course.
