12 MONTH REDEMPTION POLICY
Beginning immediately, the MT will start hearing appeals by anyone permanently banned. This is for both players or forum members.
The GS&FR language being adjusted for this new provision is Article 1.8. The new language will be:
1.8 Permanent Bans, Permanent Forum Bans, and Flaggings: A permanent ban refers to a ban from the entire site. That is, from the game and forum both. A permanent forum ban or flagging refer to a ban from the forum only. Any such action shall require the vote of at least four moderators, or two-thirds of the Moderator Team should there be more than six current members. Tie votes will result in no decision and no MT action.
1.8.1 Appeals of Permanent Bans, Permanent Forum Bans, and Flaggings: 2019 Update: While the above bans were originally intended to be never-ending, in order to give a chance for persons to redeem themselves through good behavior or actions, the MT will now hear appeals for reinstatement 12 months after the conviction date for any player or forum member who has been permanently banned, permanently forum banned, or flagged. The success of any appeal will be determined both on the basis of the behavior of the person or member during the time of his ban, and also the nature and severity of his original offense(s). Not everyone will be approved. If a forum reinstatement is desired, all existing forum aliases will need to be flagged.
If anyone wishes to be considered for this appeal, he may pm any of the moderators and we will open up a mod chat discussion on his situation. Any account that is approved will be restored as soon as the MT decision to do so is fulfilled by admins. Those that are not approved will have to wait another year to apply again. Only one matching game/forum alias combination per person will be restored under this Article.
Three moderator votes, or a simple majority if there are more than six current moderators, will be required for approval of reinstatement.
