Yes KMC agreed ! I do hope these cases start to slow and force us(all) to hit surrender and move on ! On that note I know others who wish rules were more accessible to all. When I downloaded the game the forum was not there. It took several players to convince me to check into it. After finding it I must admit I was intimidated/overwhelmed with all the info/Intel it plays greatly into the game, I have found. Not that I am increasing in rank much but am holding my own it seems anyway.   :)  ;)  :D   :o

Guys just out of curiosity, did anyone consider what these penaties impact will be on all of our ELO average? I assume this must go also down, right? Cause if we play against lower rated people cause of penalties and by chance we loose the one or other time we will also loose more points. So in the end we might punish the good players with the penalty approach....

Or is my thinking wrong?

Question: Would it not be possible from matching the players that we do it in such a way that only and Elo difference of 200 is appropriate (we will need a differnt treshhold for the top players with more than 1100 Elo rating). With this approach we also avoid the frustration of an ELO 500 player who has to play against a platinum marshall and on the other side the top players will avoid playing with the disconnectors.... So people will play against plus minus 100 or 150 or max 200 Elo difference players only (again the top 100 need a minus 400 opening or so.

Would this be an idea? I would be ready to wait a little longer to play with people on a reasonable level. On Saturday I played long to reach 1000 Elo rating and I did play with many 400-500 Elo rated people. So I risk 23 points to win 1 point.... And I had I believe 4 disconnections on purpose during this time.....

Just food for thoughts for the MT

Ithi, must be multi account, low games played,800+ rating, and of course disconnector. Lottoed general right at start, when I killed with marshal, he disconnected.

You know something, although you may have a point based in a solid logic, we must not look upon this with self-interest: if we must INVEST some ELO points to stabilize, and even perhaps lower dramatically the incident in which LOSERS disconnect, then it is a great investment. A player with your skill level will always be able to make up points which become a deficit.

As for the matching process...you already know as a platinum level that you must sometimes wait a very long time for a match...if you impose the restriction of confining matches to people within 200 ELO points of yourself...then you might as well take Ambien and have a pleasant night's sleep. No...this site pairs people with all available players after exhausting all similar level matchings. The fact that there are stupid people out there who do not have enough character and sense to surrender should not be your problem...even if we must invest our time and points to getting this site stabilized, and LOSER players trained to be better sports AND BETTER PLAYERS.

The more you play, the more you learn...provided you have an open mind. One will learn through their experiences here...and...we all have a chance to learn from the best players...including you!  :)

MT, I am reporting the ultimate time wasting, except it is not a case against a person but rather the Stratego.com site it self. I won my game but lost 9 points. Is it possible that I can get my 9 points restored along with the points I should have won from the game? Here is the screenshot. My screen cut off part of it so I posted two screenshots to show the entirety of the result screen.

I have a recorded game and disconnect vs player "ITHI" with a greek flag looked more or less like an alias scout, he rushed down middle lane with marsh I hit with spy and he disconnected. I am unsure of how to block my set up so I would prefer to send it only to MT as this set up is part of my active pool of set ups I use quite often..

Is this possible?

You can make a recording of the recording and put a notepad window or whatever on top of that - I've done that too :).

Just the 5 or so moves to the disconnect should be sufficient. You can even block the entire board as long as the graveyards are visible.

You can achieve even better results using two notepads when the victory screen shows up as you'd need to cover two sides.

Is it possible to take a still screenshot off your video?  You could then block things easily with a screenshot, of course.

Our typical policy is to say no, you can't have restoration of lost glitch points.  That said, I'll open a case on your complaint and it will get discussed fully with the new team.

It will be interesting to see if this policy becomes a deterrent for disconnectors. I'm sure many will get a shock when their points are taken away for the first time.

I do not know how to record video so I took the best screenshots I could. Fred62 takes 15 seconds almost every move. I showed him a copy of the new rules and warned him and everything. Ran his clock down the whole time.

Buffer Abuse-- This player is weak. I have thought about not troubling my inconsiderate opponents but this player can have what ever comes their way, I figure.

At this point I echo the MTs and players feelings that this needs to be addressed one way or another. I do wonder about  the MT putting  a cap on how long one can take to make a case? I included Desktop to show that this happened today. I think a player should only have a certain limited time to apply fora case. Has this been sorted out yet ? If not what do other players/MT think ?

We'll look into it.

We've not, to my knowledge, put a " report before X " . It's something we should definitely look into.

I'm just curious, why would lost glitch points be less important than lost points due to cheating? Both examples are out of the players control.

The main problem with glitch points is that they so very often set themselves aright in a game or two.  Showing you have had a glitch is one thing.  Two to three games before AND after would be needed for the whole picture.  As I said, though, we'll discuss it.

I would like to report Ithi for disconnecting on purpose when he lost his marshall for nothing to my spy. I was just about to make the screenshot of the disconnect screen when it was still 30 s, but than it moved directly to the defeat screen. An playing with the ipad the defeat screen doesn‘t show the name. So if you can‘t use that for legalistic purpose that is fine with me. Just to support Josephs report above.

I played with the account John_the_righteo against Ithi on 26.8.18 at around 10:40 pm.

Yeah, John, we're going to need the disconnect screen.  But it sounds like we'll be seeing this guy again.
