For your first immunity challenge, you will be playing a variant of Stratego, Race to the Back Row.

Rules:

Matches must be played as unranked (friendly) 40-piece match ups.
A player wins if:

  • He or she captures his or her opponent's flag
  • His or her opponent has no movable pieces
  • His or her opponent surrenders
  • At the end of the player's turn he a piece place in his opponent's back row
  • Players must also report if the match ends in a tie.

The back row is defined as the top row on the board, A10 to J10 using a grid format. A players own back row is squares A1 through J1. The following diagram displays back rows from red's perspective.

https://imgur.com/a/v416IPq

Attacking a piece in the back row does not count as reaching the back row. The player's piece must occupy a spot in the back row at the end of his or her turn.

Players should upload a screenshot of their victory or screenshot of the game board with one of their pieces in the back row.

Honesty is expected from all players. However, if a player's opponent captures the player's piece that reaches the back row before the player can take a screenshot, then the player can upload an image with the arrow displaying their opponent's previous move.

The match ups are as follows:

Nortrom vs Morx (2 - 0)
TheOptician vs Unladen Swallow (0 - 2)
Master Mind vs maxroelofs (0 - 2)
texaspete09 vs steelers (0 - 2)
Henry Domerkant vs Napoleon 1er (0 - 2)
Sgt. Blkdog vs Fairway
General Rascal vs Fks (0 - 2)
damon13 vs Kambia (2 - 0)

This challenge runs through Sunday, May 13. Refer to sections 5 and 6 of the General Rules (http://forum.strateg...o-series-rules/) for arranging your game.

I will use my discretion on extensions and awarding wins if a match cannot be played.

Please use this thread to ask questions and arrange your matches.

I assume a scout doesn't count for a piece that is allowed to get to the back rank?

Hi General Rascal I look forward to our game, I can play usually from 18:00 GMT onwards so whatever is your best time, Let me know and I will try to accommodate :)

From what I understand, I can win by moving a scout to my opponents back row, regardless of whether he takes it on the next turn or not?

Sgt.Blkdog, when do you suggest we play?

Maybe it's addressed somewhere and I missed it, but what happens if the challenge ends in a 4-4 tie?

Coin flip. Or if there is time, I'll have the captains play. I'm open to other suggestions as to how to handle it.

What about adding the duration of all 4 games won for each team and this team with shortest total time to win gets the victory?

It wouldn't be fair to create a rule like that after games have been played this round. I will consider it for future rounds though.
