I would love to be able to hit leave game during the setup phase and not lose any points. This would make the "this is my only account" jackasses with 900 points and 150 games easy to avoid.

It would only take 2 minutes for the admins to implement, but we will never see it.

Lol, this would allow you to cherry pick opponents.

You can do it on the other site. You're also still not going to get to 1200 points unless you win enough.

The other side has mostly well-known, good players.

If I could avoid all the lottoers i would have a much higher rating.

Your rating and mine, might be a little higher, but it wouldn't make a huge difference. It roughly balances out in the long run when those losers blow up on your bombs. Even if every "honest" players rating goes up 50 points that's not a bad thing.

While you could avoid people you struggle against, that isn't going to mess up the leaderboard more than those jagoffs already are. Besides, I'd rather play normal games instead of guess where the guy with 40 accounts will lotto. You could also avoid players ranked significantly below you, abusive opponents, and people who take forever to play.

It is possible to do this, but it is an exploit.

I am aware of that. I wish I knew how to do it. The only reason spion et al shot up so much is that he is probably using it to play himself. There are less than 5 players who I win or lose significantly more against than my ELO would predict.

I'll tell people via PM but I won't say publicly... not sure I should.. as it allows possibility for people to cheat by dodging opponents.

It's only hurts the guys hiding behind dozens of accounts. No one is going to go from gold to platinum because they avoid certain people. You should post how to do it publicly so that everyone can benefit.

I think it is safer only saying via PM, otherwise some people could abuse it by dodging those who the player has a bad record against.

We should report this to admins- even though, likely, not much will be done about it.

Why? It's purposeful manipulation of the game by selecting opponents!

He got ranked highly because he was playing himself.

He got ranked highly because he was playing himself.

Probably a combination of both. And when he was trying to play himself but got matched up with someone else, can we guess what he did? Likely this. It has to stop.

The problem is that he played himself, not that he left games. Leaving a game during the setup phase, does not harm one's opponent or confer an advantage. It should not be considered cheating.

Very few games will be played this way... What happens when a troll waits 6 and a half minutes and just leave with out losing ELO. I personally would try and just get players higher ELO then me but why would they want to play someone lower then them?

Plenty of games get played on the other site, when people are online, it would not be different here. Personally, I do not want to play ranked games against people below a certain rank. It should be my prerogative to opt out of those games. If I leave every game, then I am going to never play and will probably get bored and end up playing whoever.
