@tobermoryx:

Some MT members say that lonello is misunderstood because his English is poor. Darth is suggesting the same. You are saying his English is very good. I tend to side with you on that. He knows exactly what he wants to say and writes it out.

Unfortunately most of it was lies, libel, slander, abuse of power as mentioned in various other threads.

If I tried to say: I disagree with what you say, because argument 1,2,3 but instead write down:

"We should take your staff rights. The admins are already aware of what you are doing"

"You took money from sponsors to travel around the world"

"you want to install a team of moderators that put porn on the forums"

Then I think it is not a problem with language. It is another kind of problem that should be fixed by demodding and giving him his much 'deserved' honorary rank.

@Other people reading this: you are still allowed to vote in this poll. Just please read the evidence before voting and do what you think is right after that.

Regarding a completely judgmental and narrow-minded Nortom, I consider this worthy to be shared:
https://imgur.com/a/teRwL

He relies every argument on the fact that I am "Nick", without any proof or facts whatsoever, and keeps sticking to his own ungrounded theory throughout, which makes me doubt his resourcefulness and intelligence; which I kept in pretty high regard beforehand.

I'll leave anyone to judge and form an opinion for themselves; though knowledge of the Dutch language is advised..

I did indeed get embroiled in a huge conspiracy theory in the distant past (Waterfall). I was seduced by an attractive mystery that staged its games in the uncertain and anonymous arena that it is the Internet. I made some accusations that turned out to be misguided, offended some people along the way, and it is something I am sorry for and regret to this day. It is easy to fit evidence to a pre-determined conclusion when you are set on a particular way of thinking, and hard to realise those flaws when you are in a bubble. We all make mistakes, and say things that our future selves would not be proud of. These days, I would hope that those on the receiving end of past accusations could consider it as water under the bridge, but I would understand if that forgiveness is a bridge too far.

Toby/Cookie, if you think Lo's english is "very good" you are grading an a steep scale.  I would say your english is very good, Toby.  I would say Nortrom's is excellent.  Lo's is passable.  I usually get his drift on the first pass, but often have to read things he writes twice, and sometimes don't understand what he's saying at all.  If you do maybe it's because your understanding of Dutch let's you better anticipate what he really means.

He does sound scornful when he is annoyed and perhaps exaggerates is a sarcastic way.

This is where I was going with that comment.  He often doesn't convey nuance very well, so it can come off stronger than he might intend were it written in Dutch.

I think his English is pretty good, Darth. Its about the same as the other Dutchies. He often writes more than necessary I believe. Also he has an unique way of writing generally, maybe you mean that. But he does this also in Dutch.

Well, D-Rem, is it possible that your English is not so good?  ;)  :o

Darth, I heard one of the unofficial rules of being a MT member is "having an excellent command over the english language". It seems you're questioning lonello's ability?

And yes, I completely agree with your argumentation in that PM-thread but the point here is that yes you asked for his resignation... but he didn't resign. You do so again now, and it's still the same answer.

To his defense I must say he was in favor of some kind of MT popularity contest up to elections, well before this famous week. Seeing lack of support then I'm sure he would resign.

Same goes for me. If the forum wants the Fake News University to run things, or as Malcom pleaded to go sit in some Ivory Tower away from the community, then I'm outta here. We're just a couple of normal members around here like everyone else. We only have a couple of moderating tasks costing us about 40 hours a week. A normal job but then without pay.

Lonello here states he feels that if the community would show there is no support for napoleon 1er's position in MT, that he feels Napoleon would resign. In the next sentence lonello says the same thing goes for him.

There happens to be a 23 : 8 poll. Time to go.

The First Official Forum Federation (FOFF) fully supports this vision and asks MT (not lonello)  to execute this.

The active support of execution of the outcome of the Lonello demod poll will be known as FOFF resolution #1.

This to help forum readers keep track of FOFF resolutions and to show what FOFF stands for.

Maybe we should have a new poll that asks whether any moderator who blatantly ignores the wishes of the community should be removed.

That sounds like a wonderful plan. Would we have to retroactively remove those who did not implement the ISF anti-chasing after a public poll 24 : 1 was held, too? Mind you, this was october 2017. Would it be necessary to remove certain mods twice as a means of a dishonorable resignation?

The post I wrote just expressed a personal opinion, it was not the view of the MT on this matter. We will discuss and offer our opinion as a team.

We're still waiting for a statement from MT. 17 days and counting, truly amazing.
