"1) New comers can be introduced in the ranking if they fullfill the above criterias and ask formally for it in this forum (for example a player currently ranked silver but who is not a forum member can join the ranking by fullfilling criteria 1) and 2) above, or for example a player currently ranked bronze but who fullfills all criteria above can ask to be integrated in the ranking)"

The fact that I never explicitly opt-out is not relevant, I should never have been included in the first place. Therefore, my rating when I last properly featured in the clean ranking should be used.

"If, at close of registration, a player has a current ELO higher than their Max ELO, then their current ELO will be used. [Note that TC will disregard the ELO of any aliases in regards to the registered player)"

The last clause says that alias accounts will be disregarded. I achieved a max ELO of 961 on my main account. Also, the way that the rule is written this clause seemingly only applies if one's current ELO is higher than their max ELO at the end of registration.

I find it convenient that this interpretation of the rules as allows a member of the TC to be ranked higher than me; my Kleier rank is higher than TheOptician's so presumably I would be ranked higher because our max ELOs are the same.

I am not going to waste time by further arguing this, but I will reconsider my participation in future tournaments if this error is not rectified.

According to the last published Clean Ranking update, the Max ELO of your main account (malcom.jansen--> renamed to astros) is 938. No error has been made.

You guys put me in the wrong group.

My max ELO (961) is higher than both Aris1970 (960) and TheOptician (954)

TC has voted on astros' request to use his Max ELO from his previous account for his seeding

Result (0-2) Against*

astros' current seeding by TC is completely according to the rules, as can be found here (http://forum.strateg...gue-2018-rules/)

*TheOptician and steelers were not able to vote on this issue, because they are directly involved in the groups, if this change would take place.

I hope at the very least that the TC will improve the clarity of these rules for the next tournament.

could you post week 2 schedule?

Hi scott,

You can generally expect the fixtures to follow this schedule:

5 players

Week 1: Seed 1 vs Seed 5, Seed 2 vs Seed 4, Seed 3 bye
Week 2: Seed 1 vs Seed 4, Seed 3 vs Seed 5, Seed 2 bye
Week 3: Seed 2 vs Seed 3, Seed 4 vs Seed 5, Seed 1 bye
Week 4: Seed 1 vs Seed 2, Seed 3 vs Seed 4, Seed 5 bye
Week 5: Seed 1 vs Seed 3, Seed 2 vs Seed 5, Seed 4 bye

With 6 players

Week 1: Seed 1 vs Seed 4, Seed 2 vs Seed 5, Seed 3 vs Seed 6
Week 2: Seed 1 vs Seed 3, Seed 2 vs Seed 4, Seed 5 vs Seed 6
Week 3: Seed 1 vs Seed 6, Seed 2 vs Seed 3, Seed 4 vs Seed 5
Week 4: Seed 1 vs Seed 2, Seed 3 vs Seed 5, Seed 4 vs Seed 6
Week 5: Seed 1 vs Seed 5, Seed 2 vs Seed 6, Seed 3 vs Seed 4

----

This would mean that you are playing Major Nelson in Week 2.

I'd like to point out that TC may change the fixture list - most likely only in the later weeks where order of play might have an impact on player intentions (eg trying to avoid the situation where both players know that a draw will get them both qualified).

hi, and what about if a few players has got the same points in their group?, because steelers and i have done all the matches and we have both 14 points; is it the winner against that match seeding higher or not?

When players are level you use the head to head result between the tied players.

So in the case where Player A and Player B both finish on the same number of points, you would use the result in the match between Player A and Player B.

When there are more than two players on the same score you would use the results between those three players. So if Player A, B and C all finished on 14 you would look at the results of AvB, BvC and AvC.

If players are still inseparable there would need to be a play-off.

The best scenario is astros to beat leppie, and me to beat astros. :)

Then we will have the total tie!!

For the match don mitsos v PHAETHON

The results thread says PHAETHON won, but the group table says don mitsos did.

In the case of a points tie between 2 players, doesn't the game between them determine which one finishes higher at the standings? Eg in Group H, Fks and fighter68 are tied at 2nd place but Fks beat fighter68, so is it Fks who finishes 2nd?

Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is.

Yes that is correct.

The tables currently do not show standings after tie-breakers.

Ok
I only asked because right now they are both shown as T2, but I suppose this will change later to include the tie-breakers.

If a player disconnects with the intent of wasting his or her opponent's time are they automatically given a yellow card?

If the intent could be shown, then yes this would likely be considered unsporting behaviour.

If the player was eliminated from the CL at the end of the match, will the yellow card carry over to that player's next tournament?

No

Then I see no reason why a player who is determined to be a jerk should not disconnect when he is going to lose a match that eliminates him.

I propose that the TC establishes a rule that cards for abusive behavior that are received in a player's final match of the tournament carry over to the next event.
