Is this a joke?
Well, I suppose the sound of swords clashing and a figure exploding to a bomb sound is far less offensive than watching and listening to a marshal getting whacked by the spy. (If they really feel this way, they can attempt to find an "alternate" site).
If they really want something to complain about, then they should check out the Man Hunt video game videos...or something as equally disturbing and unnecessarily violent.

I used to play against a few drunken idiots in College and University. I just recently discovered this game online, playing my first matches against real-world opponents. After 100 games, I'm now one of the top 10 players in the world.

This is a laughable proposal, I assume you are joking?
I'm always a winner- win or lose the game. I take my mistakes and learn from them!

Does this mean that if ancient civilizations had fully established the legal ramifications of the "©" sign, they may have sustained longer than they did, roeczak?
You know, Caligula wanted to protect intellectual property rights...but he was totally insane so his idea of "intellect" failed–besides...he would not have progressed beyond an 80 ELO . . .

The stabbing of the marshal by the spy is too cruel for a kids game. The sound of the marshal dying is also too cruel. Please switch these animations to a normal animation, when a normal piece is captured. Older players also dislike this animation. But especially for kids we think this is wrong and illegal. And we have a legal expenses insurance ...
I haven't played with the volume of Stratego.com on since the first second I heard it, way to annoying. I believe there are more adults playing Stratego then kids at this point or at least teens+. Regarding your statement that older players dislike this animation might just be true for you and not the general populace. To say that the animations are illegal in any way is a joke even China would allow the animation of the Marshal and I believe they are the most strict along those lines of gory animations in games. Parents should monitor what there kids are doing and if they believe the animation is to gory/cruel they should buy the Stratego app on the app store which is more kid friendly I went to assume your joking but sadly I don't think you are so this is why I wrote up a reply. I can suggest turning off in game music and looking away when ever you hit the Marshal with your spy

Stratego is a battle simulation, not a picnic excursion...
That's what I've been doing wrong, The Achaean...
and I thought my watercress sandwiches and petit fours were going to get me to platinum.

Maybe your cookies will get you there
LOL–Thank you for the laugh, Achaean, you are a gem. Now, perhaps I shall feel the inspiration to pay you hommage and read some passages from "The Iliad."
Take care and good luck on the picnic...I mean the battlefield.
