According to what Master Mind wrote in this thread a few posts ago:

The two teams swap opponents - so Hielco plays against Henry domerkant and roeczak plays against Major Nelson.

So I am in the same team with Hielco again? :o   :D

Its almost impossible to beat hielco so the player with hielco on the team has an advantage
We already took a draw
Dont we deserve to change teamates

Don't listen to them Mastermind, the rules are perfect as they are!

In case of a tied result (either 7-7 or 6-6), duos will swap opponents so if you first have duos AB and CD, and right now A plays C and B plays D, A will play D and B will play C in case of a tie.

Why would Hielco and Major Nelson not be on the same team according to this post by mastermind? Hopefully next year the rules will state that the victors in the first round of stage 2 will determine the duo for the following round. Pre-determined duos to start stage two is a bit of a henderence to a smooth flow. A perfect example will be if I defeat generaladams this week. From my perspective, I at this point have to beat two of my three teammates to even have a chance to move onto the next round where as defeating only one should be sufficient. With my proposal, a single win earns a seat on the final battle of duos.
All you have to do is randomly pair the four teammates and take the victors from both pairs to be the duo for the next round.

Henry domerkant and roeczak,

This complete tournament is random. Major Nelson and Hielco were randomly picked as a team.

TC is discussing how to tackle this problem, because we should avoid it in coming backstabbers tournaments. We're always open for suggestions!

I have given you the most simplified solution for a random deciding of duos for stage two.
Another option would be if TC decided to not do a random draw but chose to
have the two top performing players play the worst performing players from each team with the winners from each individual match progressing on to the duo team. This would allow a player who lost to Hielco, losermaker, and Playa1 for example to still redeem himself as a stronger player on his team while preventing the two best performers from eliminating each other. I thought of this idea this morning and it would encourage the purest syphting of great talent for the final battle.
