Pyramid League July 2 - October 23

TC are pleased to introduce the Pyramid League.

A picture of a pyramid may appear here soon.

The Pyramid League is an annual Divisions tournament with 3 levels - Apex, Core and Base.

Promotion and relegation will be in effect, and anyone can enter.

Apex consists of one Division of 10* players.

Core consists of two divisions of equal standard with 10* players in each.

Base consists of three* divisions of equal standard which contain all remaining participants.

Players will initially be allocated into Pyramid Divisions based on their best finish in previous (eligible) tournaments.

Best finish = 1st/2nd* (Qualifies for Apex), Best finish = 3rd-7thi (Qualifies for Core)

*All numbers in this post are to be used as guides only and are not definitive at this stage.

The Masters and TRP system will be retired, but the other standard tournaments will still run. Performance in those other eligible tournaments (eg Champions League, WCO, WinterTourn etc) will provide a secondary qualifying route to the Pyramid

The format for each Division will involve playing every player in their Division once. There will be great flexibility with game arrangements, which will not be 'fixtured'. Players who cannot commit to the regularity of weekly games (or players who have a sustained period of absence during the summer) will still be able to participate as the tournament takes place over 17 weeks, from July 2 to October 23.

Further details will follow in due course.

Until then, welcome to the Pyramid and we hope you will all be able to take part.

It is a little early to field questions at this stage as TC are still finalising details.
