World Championship Online (Round 3- week 1)

The nasf went 3-8 during round 2 which was very different from the 6-4 winning record in round one. The nasf now has a total wco record of 9-12 most of those losses being against some of the best Stratego players in the world. I know after a round with such pain and torment our members will want to enter the arena this round with revenge and blood on their minds.  Round three will be the first round that will not have an nasf match-up which will allow for us to stand together in unity and triumph. I don't think they will see us coming! Good skill to all of you!

Champions league: Knockout stage (Final Round)

Congratulations to THEE_ASSASSIN for being our only member making it to the final four and finishing third place out around 80 participants. Very well done!

Their is backstabbing going around everywhere :)

After what seems to be an even distribution of wins and losses the nasf stands with a record of 3-3 after week one of round 3.

World Championship Online (Round 4- week 1)

The end of round three ended without much excitement with the nasf going 5-5-1 giving us a total record for the WCO of 14-17-1.

With one NASF match up for this round, we found them fighting over the last turkey sandwich. The nasf committee told them to settle it on the battlefield. Luckily for the committee we split the sandwich among ourselves knowing it would go bad before they were able to finish their squabble. At least the winner will be in a good mood after the battle and hopefully won't care

Good skill to all of you!

World Championship Online (Round 4- week 2)
After a relatively tight week the nasf are 3-4 with one week remaining of round four. Only four nasf matches left that stand between us and a winning record, which we have not seen since round one. JosephWhite has the toughest bout of the remaining four, good thing he is "the great" JosephWhite. Good skill to to all of you with remaining matches of round 4 may triumph be the result for all of you.

World Championship Online (Round 5- week 1)

The nasf ends round 4 with a very close to neutral record of 5-6 giving us a wco grand total of 19-23-1. Round five has some tough opponents ahead of us along with another nasf match up. One of our members has already given us a good start with a victory. Good job Gary!

This may be the round that we turn our grand total into a winning record. Good luck to all of you!

That's an inspiring handicap for astros to overcome. You're not a bad player, Bill0n.
One time I lost when up three majors. Still can't believe that one either. The patience and focus of the best players is exhibited by wins like that, though.

World Championship Online (Round 5- week 2)

At the start of week two the nasf had few matches played giving us a round 5 record of only 2-2. This leaves seven matches to be completed sometime in the second week. I think the nasf is seeing that playing with stratego fanatics across the world is much different then playing with our neighbors down the street. It is another exciting week with some very tough opponents I am anxious to see the results of. Fight hard friends!

Winter Tournament (R-3 Premier) (R-2 Rehabilitation)

Thirteen warriors meet in the middle of the night to suit up and discuss battle plans together. The elitist of the group decides to infiltrate the highest ranking enemy first but to result in disarray for his troops. Many of our other soldiers have been blindsided by the enemies top forces. The madness has even caused our elite soldier to go on a killing spree against his own people. I have never seen anything like it.  Will anyone stop him? Who will take control and lead our cavalry to completing the mission that we started?

Our chance of keeping the nasf in the Premier bracket rests on one mans shoulders. Ten members remain united to capture the flag of our enemy. Bring it home!

World Championship Online (Round 6- week 1)

After a very exciting finish to round 5 the nasf goes 7-4 which is the top "round record" thus far giving us a total WCO record of 26-27-1. Round 6 entails two nasf match ups. It is that much more upsetting to see mrbrainiac and THEE_ASSASSIN as one of them. With josephwhite going up against last years champion and astros standing in front of goliath himself the nasf would benefit from learning how to resurrect pieces from their graveyard. Maybe next year we can focus on how to do this, until we do, these two warriors will have to rely on only one time use of pieces. Will the nasf get a boost in front of a winning record at the end of this round or will they have to fight for it that much harder in the rounds to come? We will know in two weeks.

Visit round six here:http://forum.strateg...o-2016-round-6/

Winter Tournament (Premier Round 4 - Rehabilitation Round 3)

The nasf has six members remaining at the start of this round. For whatever reason it appears that there is not enough room for them to fight for the flag together. Four of them have been berserked and are fighting to the death!  It is way to early in the tournament to want to see this happening. With six rounds rememaing we will need to send lot's of support from a distance. Focus is needed more than ever.

Junior Tournament Round 2

Four nasf juniors have gathered to claim a rare championship only few qualify to obtain. An astounding three have proceeded to the next round with wins. All four members are still capable of becoming champion at this point in the tournament. I can assure you that this will be a tough sprint but I have full confidence the nasf has a strength these other runners don't have. Good skill to all four of you!

World Championship Online (Round 6- week 2)

At the end of week one we only see three of our members walk onto the arena. We do get a head start to finishing the round on top, going 2-1 for now. Four of the eight remaining members still needed in the arena will meet their brothers/sisters in battle. I tend to close my eyes during the final blow with these brutal match ups. The outcome of an nasf match up is never satisfying and rarely advantageous. The other four remaining members that await a round 6 meeting in the arena will have the opportunity to single handily bring us to an over all winning record for the WCO.

Good skill to all of you!

Winter Tournament (Premier Round 4 - Rehabilitation Round 4)

Five of the six nasf members made it through to round 4. After the enemy witnessed the strength that was coming right for their flag they dispatched a team of 15 elite soldiers geared with state of the art equipment to bring them down. Sending 15 elite soldiers was expensive but it would ensure the nasf annihilated and their flag protected...or so they thought. Those fifteen soldiers could bring down no more than one of ours whilst the rest will march on towards victory. The very next night one of our members was sleeping in a village with civilians when three bombs took out everybody, leaving no survivors. This will leave us with three top soldiers that have found nothing with the capability of standing in their way. Get the flag fellas!

Junior Tournament Round 2

Two members continue on undefeated while two will fight for their way back to the top. No one eliminated which means the "Elite Junior" title is still up for grabs by any of our five participating members. With not a single match up an easy one, it will be exciting to see what happens at the end of this round.

Welcome Gwynplaine!

The committee is pleased to announce that Gwynplaine has been added to our ranks in leadership. His qualities are more helpful and team building than we could have asked for. He is a composer by day and a sly Stratego warrior by night. His skill is ever increasing and his contribution to us as a federation is a priceless gift. Thank you Gwynplaine for joining us in helping maintain and develop a deep love for Stratego on our continent. I along with the rest of the committee look forward to working beside you.

The NASF committee would like to thank “astros” for all of his dedication and hard work to building the NASF. As he has many happy events and new responsibilities which require his time and talents, he has decided to focus upon those and to step down from his post on the committee, but he will remain an active member of the NASF. In expressing our gratitude, the committee will also do its best to continue the progress of the NASF, which astros has been so instrumental in promoting and organizing.

World Championship Online (Round 7 - week 1)

With an exciting finish to round 6, the NASF gets another winning record putting our total WCO record at 32-32-1. This could be the round that we pull forward and show the world that we are here to fight with the best. Some of us may fall but not without many more ready to catch them when they do. Round 7 may look like one of the toughest rounds for us yet but I know that inside the minds and hearts of these North American people, there is determination. There is a gumption and will to win! The giant is awakening! I can here his heart beat growing faster. Fight hard, fight smart and most importantly fight for the honor we share together. We are NASF!

Winter Tournament (Premier Round 4 - Rehabilitation Round 5)

In the premier bracket there is no break of eye contact yet. We are still waiting for even a sound of excitement but nothing. All of the excitement is happening in the rehabilitation side of things. With warriors fighting for their lives, we have two nasf members turning on themselves in this state of confusion. The elite warrior that was supposed to lead his team to the flag has slaughtered the majority of his soldiers and is attempting to finish off his last chance for companionship. I do not know what has gotten into him but apparently he wants to finish this alone. With only two remaining NASF members with the chance to obtain the Flag of the Winter Tournament, the arena gets so quite you can here a pin drop. Who will make it out of round 5 alive? constrictor or mrbrainiac? Good skill to both of you and may the stronger player win!

Junior Tournament Round 3

With two of our Junior members still undefeated and another with a chance to the championship, moods are good here at the Juniors Arena. astros, Texaspete and mrbrainiac have a handful to get past this week but nothing that their skill cannot adapt to. Many underestimate the seriousness that resides among these Junior contestants but I can tell you, it's enough to make you tense for just being there. The finishing rounds will be some of the best game play you could choose to watch. Maybe we will get lucky and find the recordings of these matches floating around somewhere. Who will be the 2016 Junior Alpha dog?

World Championship Online (Round 9 - week 1)

Things are starting to get heated here at the WCO. The NASF has been fighting hard for an overall winning record but unfortunately last round was not a good one for this accomplishment. With a total WCO record of 42-44-1, the NASF has a target on their opponents back more than ever. For those only spectating, please send support because this is crunch time.

Visit round 9 here:http://forum.strateg...o-2016-round-9/

Winter Tournament 2016

Unfortunately, the NASF has been eliminated from the Winter Tournament. Our last dying hero mrbrainiac went an impressive 5-2 beating players like sevenseas, cflag and constrictor. It took one over sized monster to finish mrbrainiac off being Hielco himself. An impressive run and a sad finish will surely bring this player back for revenge next year. Congratulations mrbrainiac for being our last standing member in the 2016 Winter Tournament.

Junior Tournament Round 4, Semi-finals

Out of our beginning five members, only one finds himself left in this tournament, texaspete09. With not a single easy match left in this tournament, texaspete09 is spending countless hours of preparation to defend his title as Junior Champion! texaspete09 has not only dominated the junior arena but also some very respected seniors in other tournaments as well. This guy may be what the NASF has been waiting for. Good skill to you in your remaining matches.

Your ever faithful NASF Committee is in the very process of organizing our upcoming schedule–and very soon! Please let other members know and do check back...we will be publishing something before too long!

Thank you, MTinsley! (By the way–we still need to meet for a match to settle those questions which lay between us).

Damn committees holding everything up in Congress and Stratego. Let's have three tournaments going at once. The more the merrier I say. I am opening up a can of whoop-♥♥♥ right now and I am ready for all the platinum players. I will troll the chat rooms for players if necessary. The holidays are over and now it's time to get things going again. A long lost idea of mine is the single day tournament. Tell the wife and kids to go to the park, out for a movie, even buy the popcorn and let's get serious. I am in a playful mood. Stack em high and let em fly. Price em low and play Strate-go

World Championship Online (Round 9 - week 2)

The NASF is losing it's grip going 2-6 in the first week of round 9. texaspete09 beating Sohal puts him at a tie for first of the NASF members. It appears as though he is really trying to prove himself. The Prof has a chance to claim that same position if he can defeat the Greek, Spyros77. Spyros77 has defeated some tough opponents but our guy can say the same. With The Prof having his best victory being against Nortrom in the past, I put my bets on the American for this battle. There are a lot of emotions that are being shown around the WCO Colosseum halls. Having three matches left of round nine, our three warriors could make a come back and finish the round off for us with a respectable finish. Make every move count fellas!

Junior Tournament Round 6, semi-finals

texaspete09 as our only remaining player and defending champion, he has made it to the semi-finals to play against Master Mind. Having such a smart and defensive opponent, texaspete09 will have to prepare for a long and thoughtful game to bring home the win and a seat in the Finals! You can do it, just maybe not riding a steer because we know your not actually from Texas. Good skill to all of your moves.
