I will be recording many of the games I play now that I use the built in screen record through Windows 10, Here are the first two games:

https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be

I did not know, however, that it had a 1-hour time limit, so please see the description for the result of the 2nd game.

I was very sick with headache/stomach yesterday, and you can notice I was very impatient through the games and took risks against Oracle even when I was ahead to speed up the game. Patience is something I should work on.

Another thing, I was playing this on my laggy, but newer laptop, which meets the hardware requirements to record games through this built-in record. My older, but quicker computer does not, it is over 5 years old. Sorry for the lag there may be.

Please leave tips and strategies in this thread on as a reply to my video as they are very helpful and allow me to progress in stratego skill!

Great initiative. I had the same issue with the 1 hour limit. You can solve it if you decrease the number of pics/second in the settings. The quality is lower but still ok visually

vs Sethcrider

With this match i would say it is not a good strategy to be exchanging when you are behind.

You tell Sethcrider he is currently disadvantaged because he has bombed 1 side off , but i think it helps him as he is leading with only 2 lanes to guard. And as the right side is also pretty static and it is tricky for you to bring pieces forward there  ,effectively the game is all in the centre lane.  Meanwhile his pieces behind the bombs on the left are all completely safe , and he can bring them out later with no worries once your higher pieces have all gone .

Of course his gamble in taking your Major with his General put him in a strong position but you had some things going for you after the Marshal exchange...

1. An exchanging strategy from that point was the most obvious thing he was going to do and suited him best so his approach was predictable.

2. He actually did not know any of your remaining pieces . You had spare Scouts , so you could have discovered his Colonel and a couple of Majors while yours were still unknown .

3. You had a Miner on the left already so could have brought a Major - or ideally the Colonel -  up there once you knew his Colonel and at the least got level on Sergeants , and then he has to defend that side too , so he can't just march his pieces up the centre in rank order until he has closed the game out.

vs Prop1600

This was a fun match to watch. You only know 2 bombs but lotto a Marshal and Colonel into 8 unknown/unmoved pieces and don't find any more bombs ! .Then you opponent makes 1 lotto with a Major and hits bomb . At this point if he had made an abusive comment i'd have to sympathize with him :D

The server was also very very laggy at this time (unfortunately) so the game was very laggy, escpecially the special effects, put it on 2x speed in setting on the bottom right of the video.

Nice!

I notice you are versatile in your approach.

Sometimes you are very carefull, sometimes you play pretty aggressive. Nice repetoire!

Good spy killer! In the end for me it was obvious a captain was heading forward but you still put your lut @ it.

Fun to watch! Keep it up!

Good game, Fairway.

I saw your other videos prior to our match and anticipated you to play with a more cautious approach. I was wrong, and the attack with your colonel worked out very well for you. You successfully defended your advantage in the smaller units which culminated in the win for you. :)

I know to always attack with colonels against shufflers, it is always effective, the worst thing that can happen is you take a capt with your col and your opponent kills it with their general.

I have a question though. Why weren't you more aggressive with your general once our marshals were traded? You wouldn't most likely gotten at least my leuit, probably more. You also forgot that my captain and major had both moved (in front of my bombcase) and you ran right by them with your 2nd col, I was counting on you to forget that if I were to win. :)

GG!

I played particularly terrible in this game: So many missed opportunities and foolish moves and mistakes, I could make a list of over dozens poor moves I made in this game. It's too painful to watch. I was doomed at 17:15, but... well, just take a look :)

GG Master Mind!! Fairway pulls out an excellent comeback win!

p.s. My laptop was a bit laggy at the time, so put it to 2x speed. Thanks for watching ;) !
