What about little information about our status?

-

 Sometimes from forum our friends can send us some messages or replies our topics, We can late to answer because we are in the battle or away from keyboard or simply busy.

Or they can send us friendship or chat only..

For examples:

'IN BATTLE' : We are in the battle, we cannot look at the another staff. :)

'BUSY' : God knows we are doing somethings. -yes there is already shining icon-

'AVAILABLE' : Available for chat, friendship offers and even battle offers too.

'AWAY' : Away for a while, waiting for your wishes. -yes there is already pale icon)

But i cant imagine which one is handy for us. Automatically or manual? (Now it is automatic in game.)

That's a really good idea and would be a good edition. Nice thinking, Ufuk.

Mick, I don't know what you're speaking of here. There's no chat available with anybody, even friends, in the new app, so there's certainly no status indicators. You must be talking of something else here.

When a user is online and not in a battle, the indicator is green;

When a user is online but in a battle, the indicator is in orange;

When a user is offline, the indicator is red.

I have to echo Moriarty and Nortrom. I haven't seen orange on my friends list either, only the red and green. But I will keep a lookout for it. Maybe I've missed it, too.

I'm talking about the new app for me.

What is it like using the new app alot Gary?

I remember using it on vacation (download on iPad) in the ski mountain, took of my boots, checked the forums to answer the "cheater" threads, then went on the app. Found Napoleon 1er and played our game. I played terrible, I really would like a rematch. Not blaming it on the app though, except the pieces confused me

The new app and I have been together now for around eight months now, since when I first got involved with it while helping to test it on Stratego Scouts voluntarily. Every day, at first, the link to return to the old wireless app was present. Then, at around six months ago the link disappeared and I was trapped into it, and they wouldn't even let me as a moderator back to the old app.

It really stunk starting out. I wanted to go back and the artwork of the new app bothered me greatly like it does everybody at first. But because I play almost exclusively on a wireless device I was forced to get used to it, I guess. And I suppose I have.

You can't talk with people in the new app except in BattleChat, not even your friends.

You cannot plan, create, or adjust your setups in the new app, except only under the pressure of your opponent waiting for you in a game.

There is no white writing at the bottom of the screen showing attacks just made.

It also doesn't show/list/say who one's opponent is on victory/defeat banners so is bad for proving tournament wins and intent to draw in draw refusal cases.

You can't change your "ready" status. Once you press "ready", you cannot unpress it. This is not so bad, but occasionally I've made a terrible mistake in pressing ready before loading my setup and I'm forced to play with the software's offered setup. (Usually this is disaster but was fun once. I got a setup with a lake bluff flag and won!)

The nicest thing about the new app is the fact it does play better on the phone where I'm at even more than my tablet. And by better I mean that it plays portrait style and so the pieces are far bigger. The old app was so tiny on a phone it was unusable.

Overall today in okay with the new app.
