here is another game against Fairway. Thank you fairway for the game, you are taking high risks with your colonels but this makes it funny.

Very clean win. Your patience paid off, but I wondered if a slightly more aggressive approach with the general might have been sufficient. E.g. after you find his major at 7:19, why not charge ahead with the general, and go straight for the colonel? If you take colonel and lose the general, you are still a colonel plus 2 captains up, seems enough?

He wouldn't have to do that to beat me easily, his defense tactics are enough, I just get bored and charge into his front lines, which results in me self-destructing

With all due respect (truly), Fairway, haven't you heard of Napoleon's nickname? I think it was given to him by Unladen Swallow. He calls him:

The Napster!

Great video and excellent commentary!

Thank you, guys!  :D

Holy schmoly

47 min, 49 min and 1h23

You might consider speeding up the games by a factor 2-3 or so.

Just think, if I played defense just like we, we could very well have a 2 hour game.. only 2 hours game I've had before was vs. Will Wallace  :P

Just a quick question about this game: after about 14 minutes, when the generals were exchanged and you were a colo up, why didn't you use your majors through the center to attack everything that had moved in order to increase your piece lead and to flush out the marshal? Worst case, you lose a major for the marsh but you are likely to get a cap or lieut first, were still a colo up, and your colo was ready to counterattack along your right. If he would have exchanged majors, then you could have repeated this with a captain.

Would this have been a bad idea, or is it just not your style?

Anything remotely aggressive is not his style.

... could have been a possibility but if i don't get either his last cap or a lieut when losing my major to know his marsh the deal would have been to weak to be worth. Looking back the game i should have let my col forward on right and then go scouting whatever was on left with a major, if the marsh would have been on left my col would have had a free path from right in his field and would defintiely have got 1-2 pieces. ... after the game you could always do better ... :)
