It is absolutely BS when  someone can run down their clock when they are loosing then disconnect and STILL get another 2:30 for you to wait.

if you cannot make a move in 15 seconds, then you should not be playing a game that requires intelligence. Just saying.   remove the BS counter.

I don't agree, this system is often misused but it can be very helpful to someone who unwillingly loses his connection. Just wait two and half minutes and you get the win.

You don't have to wait, we live in a very special time with countless distractions surrounding us all the time B)

I sorta agree, and I dislike it when people take 30 seconds to make a move and take up your time and stall. However,  I think that instead of removing it completely, you should just shorten it to 3 minutes on full games and 1 and a half minutes on short games.

I prefer shortening the time of the 10 piece match. The 5 minutes are not necessary to me. Comparing to full match which is ranked.

I believe that whatever doesn't defeat you on Stratego, simply makes you.. immortal.

I think that the Setup time for the ten piece game is ridiculously long. It should only be 3 minutes.

Same here. I'm not at all against the disconnection clock, just the painfully long 10 piece game set up clock.  :)

Well, since quick games are not ranked, it would be good if players could set up their own time limit in the setup screen.

Do keep in mind that a decent percentage of disconnecters will come back into the game, shamelessly hoping for the chance that you might have done precisely what you said. They make a move, you're not there, and you find a nasty surprise when you return.

If someone disconnects on you, the only safe play is to sit and watch your screen until the disconnection clock winds down to zero.

It's a shame that we don't have an actual rule against buffer abuse / disconnection abuse. Although rules would have to be formulated, I for one would be for examining cases of buffer rundowns in losing positions, and treating them as abusive behavior, with the same penalties that violation provides for in verbal abuse cases.

but you can still surf the internet in that case, as you can hear when they make their move

But you also disconnect on people, so it seems like you got what you deserve.
