So i was playing a match where i was a colonel up and the marshalls where both killed, and we each had a general. I tried attacking his general but my he kept on running away and it was a fruitless chase. Then I started scouting him and managed to use my colonel to attack some of pieces. (I guarded it with my general from the other general) then he started attacking (with an unknown piece) and I wanted to protect my majors with a colonel in case it was his colonel. it was just a miner and he found my other colonel. then he started chasing it with his general and I tried retreating it to my general protecting my other colonel and I could only manage to defend one piece. then we were back even with power pieces. But he had much more total pieces than me so I had no other choice but to lotto with my general and hope my prediction of where his flag is ; is true and be able to clear the surrounding pieces but I ran into and un expected bomb and then lost. How can I exploit the advantage of having a an extra colonel without it being captured?
How can i exploit my advantage?

Then you could use a small piece to discover something for your General to kill.

So I should use rules like the 2 square rule (the reason why I can not capture his general) and no continuous chasing to prevent capture of my colonels while still being able to aggressively use them.
