The Prof Leaving the MT
Posted 17 August 2015 - 09:09 PM
We who are both his fellow MT members and also his friends thank him most sincerely for his stellar service to our game. His unique combination of a love for Stratego, knowledge of its rules, spectacular math skills, and wisdom all make him difficult to replace. As the most senior member of the MT his departure leaves a big hole in experience on our team, and we shall have to work to carry on as well without him. In David's time as a moderator he has been a fair and honest judge and a high moral influence on those around him. He has also been an integral reason for many beneficial changes for the community in that time.
David will continue to act as a special consultant to the MT on certain issues, which will be greatly appreciated.
We thank him most sincerely again for his efforts here on our site. It will be strange not to see his ever-present scout avatar giving his daily comments in the forum. He will be sorely missed by his current colleagues.

Sorry to see you go, but I understand you completely. The team will miss not having your well thought out judgements when it comes to deciding on complex issues of chasing and what is draw refusal or not. You have also been very considerate and not too quick to judge on someone who might be out of line, but know when someone has crossed the line. We all need a break from here from time to time and perhaps like what I did, you will return when you feel time permits it.

Rest in peace, The Prof.
Oh wait ?
Lol. We were afraid it would start to look like this .
I'm sure David is not gone for the site. He has been a worthy adversary in the tourneys around here so I would like to be able to draw him in D1 again next .
Also I will keep woo-ing him until he returns so we haven't seen the last of The Prof
