I just got finished playing GR.  He was losing by a Col. and a Major.  He then sent requests to draw and take a break over and over.  My game then froze and I couldn't move any pieces.  This is over the top nonsence and very un-sportsmen like.

I have reported him to one of the admins requesting a Ban on his account.  An IP ban should also be in place.  If the glitches are not fixed, the community should get reinbursted for the loss of rating and time.  More community players must respond to these types of issues on the forums, otherwise good honest players will continue to be cheated out of their wins.  This will eventually push all good honest players away from this site.

Warning to the Devs: I know you are hard at work, but I'm telling you... if you continue to allow this type of behavior without consiquence, the cheaters are going to walk all over this site and ruin this site for all of us.

Thank You

HmmNess

I can imagine how terrible that must be. Luckily, I've never had anyone do that glitch against me. Just constant chasers.

I have quit the site until the cheating players are dealt with.

Ya, a lot of players have complained about it.  The chase and draw glitch are the biggest bugs on the site that I can see thus far.

Funny I don't get the chasers but, I get the draw glitchers. I get a number of people who try to do the glitch at me, most just know I won't respond to their requests and they give up and either quit the game or I capture their flag shortly after.  However, it is embarssing that this site continues to allow this type of bug and glitches to continue and like you said Hmmness refuse to take any action to punish these players who are the worst offenders.  The site needs to have a handful of players who are the worst offenders be publically called out by the site, and these players will be banned or if not banned, their rating will be reset to a broze spy of 100 points.  I would prefer the total reset, because if you ban someone, they'll just come on another name and just continue with their poor behavior.  If their rating is gone, they really have nothing to play for;  They can't brag or put down other players who are lower raters when they lose to them.

As for now, how can deal with a draw glitcher without losing the match by a screen freeze?

Last week i created a new topic in bugs section called "new anti cheaters system" In this topic i proposed to fight against all the known cheaters(specially the draw glitchers) using the same method they use to cheat and try from the first moves froze their screen. With this action you show them that you do not accept them and there is no game anymore with them. NEVER SHOW THIS TOPIC POSTED UNTIL TODAY

Well a while back I proposed a way to deal with draw glitchers.  First you fix the glitch.  Second, you do not allow players to ask for as many draws as they would like.  The may ask for a Draw 3x per game, and that is all.  I would also take the Pause button out of the game.

I'm talking about now.  How do we deal with them now without getting a loss?

KARAISKAKIS is implying that we should cheat back from the start, I.e. from move 1.
Personally I disagree. Murdering a murderer makes you a murderer too. Furthermore, you allow them to get away with a draw.

When someone tries to murder you, your reaction is not called murdering is called self protection. And is better a tie than a certain lose. Until the site fix all the bugs i am not going anymore spend my time and destroy my mood playing with cheaters like simply the worst .

Well, we just need the glitch fixed.  This would solve the problem.  I heard you just need to move faster than they can click the draw button.

Yeah, that's what I did myself when I face a cheater. The glitch will backfire on them, since it will be their timer ticking.

There's only one way to deal with cheaters.
The moment I'm starting a match with someone like that, I will begin to spam the draw requests immediately non-stop. I won't play them anymore. I'd rather like a draw and lose points with that than that I'm gonna waste my time while I know the maximum I can get is a draw.
The next names can be sure of my spams :

-Gr
-Le Poulen
-Simply the best
-Justin Hayward
-Gold

I won't play them. I won't chat with them. I immediately start with the annoying spams and I will do this everytime I play them.

Btw, it doesn't matter how fast you react.
I've heard all kinds of things in order to stop the cheating but I still don't know how.
Don't react is still the best option but the problem is that after declining draw request number 146 in a row, it could be that your game will freeze anyway. I've had this with Gr, two steps before I reached his flag. How he did it, I don't know but he was surely aware of the situation because before I even moved he started to laugh his ♥♥♥ off and said that I had to watch very carefully.
Reacting fast and immediately declining the draw request can also make your game freeze so this is not an option for me.

So there's only one way I can think of.
From move one I'm gonna play their game non-stop. After each move I will fire a draw and a pauserequest and I will do this untill they accept the draw or untill they just freeze up.

I can also cheat,....hardcore cheating to the bone.

I agree with him.
There is just no other way. They don't leave me another choice.
And I rather allow them a draw than the fact I'm gonna lose for certain because of the cheats.
In fact EVERYBODY facing a known cheater should do this. From move one, the hardcore way.
No one cares right. It's not a priority for the dev's, the cheaters won't be punished so fine,.....there is no other choice left.

Haha, but you misinterpreted our solution: just move fast before the draw popup comes, then let it either timeout or decline it, since if the game will freeze, it will be his timer to timeout. And then, you can laugh your ♥♥♥ off for 5 minutes at the angry cheater, believe me: that is satisfying.

Haha, that is just what I did against ObeyTheMaster. That is exactly why he is very hotheaded in the ObeyTheMaster is a cheater thread; he just couldn't stand it

But only with pause requests, since I will not let them get away with a draw

All cheaters are gonna feel the pain themselves, will lose and will get dishonored. I'll take the fight to them

You can call me ... "Two".

How can I move before the draw popup comes?
If my opponent has to move, he will spam the request first. It's his turn so I can't move then.
Before he moves, he spams (which I decline), after that I can move and the moment I've moved, he starts the request again so I don't know what you mean exactly.
I've tried both ways : declining and accepting,....they both didn't work.

Mmm, the smarter cheaters only use the draw when it is your move, since then, your timer will run out of a freeze; at least, that is what occured to me.

If you decline a draw when it was his turn, and the game freezes, he himself will be unable to move right? At least, that's what worked for me (2 times): the freeze backfires on himself. (The first time it failed and I lost, because I was unaware of this cheating method).

By moving fast, you force his timer to be ticking instead of yours.

I still don't get it,....

So if someone tries to glitch me, what do I have to do then?
If it's my turn and he spams the request, I immediately decline it?
If it's his turn and he spams the request, I just do nothing?

Tell me exactly what to do in every given circumstance.
Maybe I'm just too stupid, I just don't get it :s

Exactly the opposite:

If he moves, respond VERY fast with your own move; before he can come up with a request while it is your turn.

If he requests during your move; do nothing (and try to avoid this case by line above, as game might crash anyway in rare cases),

If he request during his own move; do nothing (rather safe, but time consuming), or decline (worked up till now). If the game freezes while it is his turn, his timer will be the one to run out and you can laugh your ♥♥♥ off at him.
