Another great game to watch, Garulfo (top player on Gravon) vs. SATAN-NL/freddykreuger.

I really enjoyed this match, the first bomb his scout revealed turned out to protect the flag!

I notice that here also, silver players do not always protect their flag.

Pointless.

Why??
You can only see the pieces when they attack but this is enough to understand what both players are doing.

I've had the opportunity to watch recorded games from some GREAT players on this site. Trust me, you learn A LOT more when you can see their pieces.

Watching hidden pieces is a real pain and you can't see the player "thinking ahead" when the pieces are hidden.

Pointless.

Astros-

This is coming from the player who told me that "all players below 750 ELO suck."

Nice one.

It is easier to learn when you can see the pieces from one person.

You can learn how the person thinks, you can see the bluffs and maybe how he have to change his tactic during the game.

I've learned a lot from Max' videos on youtube.

But I can also understand why someone enjoys to watch the hidden pieces.

In my opinion you can learn just as much, it just requires more effort on the watcher's part.

First, I said most players below 750 suck and that I consider myself to be very inconsistent, constantly playing very poorly. I frequently lose to players under 750, as Deathhammer pointed me out he has beaten me 3 or 4 times. I am still learning this game and have a lot to improve upon. However, my general observation is that players under 750 often make mistakes that let their opponents back into the game, generally holds.

Second I made that comment in a private message at a time when I was below 750 points. I never made it publicly on the forums or named any specific player as sucking. I was sharing an opinion with an individual and was not talking down to them.

Am I an arrogant and rude player? Yes I am at times. Is there a lot of ego stroking on this thread? Yes.

Astros-

I didn't speak anything against anyone. I just said that watching games w/ visible pieces is much more educational. Watching games when you can't see pieces until they attack is nowhere near as entertaining or meaningful.

I don't care about Satan or Sohal. The game is much bigger than 2 players. If they stopped playing today no one would know or care.
