Lol, just played a game against someone with an ELO-score around 450 (will not mention names as that would be embarrassing for him). His centre was closed. I had general at the left side, and marshall to my right side; he had it reversed. I used a real spy (an obvious one).
I let his marshall slip past my general on purpose, so actually my general was the to slip past. However, my spy was on the far left side, so the marshall could move to the right and only capture a few scouts before my marshall was to intervene. And so that happened.
Next, the opponent moved in his general at my right (the best thing to do), and the general stepped on a bomb (it was my random bomby side). Pretty foolish. It really hadn't moved yet :P
By the time my 9 captured all his previously moved pieces and was just in time to the right again to halt an incoming colonel (my remaining one was at the left), I had just timed it right. Next thing that colonel stepped on the very same bomb his general stepped upon. Ermmm. FACEPALM :D
OK, so far that is pretty stupid already, but he managed to continue the game with a serious play style and after 3 minutes or so stepped with his major on, guess what... the very very same bomb. FAIL...

Pretty stupid for a so-called Bronze General. Anyone else met such total foolish situations?

Hm, I feel ya NT, I had it before but with myself :P I played so much matches that day, my latest match was far away from normal. I knew exactly where his bomb was, but I don't now but still I jumped my general en colonel on it. So he asked me to give up and I said as a good commander I never gonna surrender ! lol :P and I was going for the Kamikaze tactic, so with everything I had I advanced and still I got his flag :P He was furious ofcourse, but yeah it can overcome everybody. If you're tired you make too much stupid mistakes.

NTactical, that is so respectful and courteous of you to call other players stupid and prove to us all how great you are at the game of stratego. I see this nonsense all the time with Chess players and Stratego players. Take your wins with respect and move on, don’t talk down to players that lose to you. You wouldn’t like it if someone talked down to you while you were losing. This is Ridiculous.

Everyone has a bad game time to time. I've fallen prey to the bomb that I thought for certain moved or discovered very early in the game and forgot about it. Though can't say I ever lost three pieces to same bomb.

I did not mention names/players, did I? Only talking about what happened. So who am I talking down? The situation that happened? I even did not laugh at him in game-chat.. I respect the player, not the situation. Big difference.

Crashing pieces into one single bomb.....that's classic.
People have done it with me as well but myself also haha.
Sometimes when I'm losing really big and the opponent irritates me, then I don't allow him to grab my flag.
I know for sure that I'm gonna lose but I'd rather commit suicide on his bombs than to give my flag haha :)
I love the smell of Napalm in the morning
