Gaius, you have to prove your case with screenshots.  Just telling us about it is usually not enough, I'm afraid.  You must follow the evidence requirements laid out here:  http://forum.strateg...les/#entry11336

The general requirement for no-progress draw refusal in a game that meets the minimum standard of 40 minutes of length is for you to give us screenshot evidence of twenty minutes duration.  A first screen to show the situation, another ten minutes later, and a third ten minutes after that.  If no progress is demonstrated in all of these, and you have given at least two tie offers that were denied by your opponent, then you will have a case.  A third tie refusal is always helpful on top of this.  Although we will consider less evidence than this, such cases will always be weaker, though they may be successful.  Unfortunately, your case does not meet the minimum to review, as The Prof explained above.

Here are the screen shots.  zubba is the culprit.  I have 2 10 minutes apart.  The game lasted bout an hour and half and the peice of his up towards the back of his board is his general.  My general is on the other side of his bomb (allow for me to always avoid capture).  He had 3 majors blocking the allyways.  I had 3 sargents were his majors were we each had a minor.  his minor made an attempt to get my flag and hit a luitenant.  Then after many minutes of back and forth chasing by him, I decided to let all of my peices die with the exeption of the 9. My first screenshot tie request did not get screenshoted.  So I used my last request with all my peices dead except for my general, which could not be captured.  He had no minors, flag was bombed in, he could not win.  He had his flag open but protected  by his 9.

The real issue is you, Gaius.  Take a look at my record, I have no issues with a tie.  I didn't know where your bombs were, I never hit ANY of them and still had pieces left, so of Course I'm going to try to win and refuse a tie.  If you ever act so despicably in the future, I WILL report your abusive antics, and you'll get banned for a week.

Unacceptable.  I'm glad no one considered me for a moderator because I would not stand for this.  I cant believe the old standard of 2 screenshots end game was abandoned.  You honestly think ppl have 40 minutes to waste.  The minority on this site bring the majority to their knees because those that have lives must not be able to play the game and enjoy themselves because every 5 games or so I get a guy that lottos, loses all their 3's, isnt smart enough to win, then runs in circles for hours.  You think that I have to sit there and spend 40 minutes to waste for some ranking points.  LOL what a joke.  I could just wait 15 sec each move and never forget the 9.  Did you know that people download memory software to not even lose track of a piece.  It was I that told Midnight guy of the section on wiki, advertising the software under stratego.  It was thus removed.  All of us that have done something for this game, as well as gave good competition to our fellow fans, are slighted every time the admins refuse to do their jobs, and when the moderators do thier jobs poorly.  Ranking points are important so that when I get paired with someone 600 points lower, they are 200 rather than 100 so the game will be more of a challenge.

Go ahead and report me zubba, you are a waste of a game because all you do is rely on time wasting to win.

You have honor issues.  I think you should do some soul searching as to the kind of person you are.  I win by facing my enemy in battle.  Not running from him.

The standard of 2 screenshots was not abandoned, but it requires no progress between the first screenshot and the second. Gary was discussing the ideal evidence one could present to have the strongest case, but your evidence did not even meet the basic two screenshot standard.

Hilarious coming from the guy who's trying to angle his way to a rank refund.  You lose. I'm done with you.

I didnt lose tool I just valued my time more than you did.  I could have spend 20 hours clicking to avoid ur general.   You did not beat me, you did not take all my pieces or my flag, all you did was be a baby.

Gaius, the "standard" of two screenshots you refer to is not found in the rules except for the more narrow case of the clear draw. This is the way it is currently, and it's also even spelled out in the old rules that Midnightguy had posted for awhile before Ash's version (the current one) took over. Your game was in no way a clear draw and so your draw refusal proof would have had to have met the requirements of a no progress draw, hence the twenty minutes I mentioned previously, or something close to it.

As far as the forty minutes go, I didn't say the ideal evidence took forty minutes, only twenty. The game merely had to be at least forty minutes long. Since you said your game was much longer than this, that part of it wouldn't have been a problem. You just needed more evidence this time.

no one starts playing a game thinking, "I'm taking a screenshot to make sure if there is a draw I can nail this guy".  I would have never forgot his 9.  If you think thats not a draw then the moderators are ignorant.

You know why you didn't have the evidence.  All you had to do was wait for me to choose to shuffle, or to advance on your bombs, instead you acted like a child, cussed me out, and tried to set up what you thought would look like a draw.  You sir, are a complete loser.  It's a game, get over it.

Tie refusal in quick games... how bored can a player be?

I know there are no ranking points, but its just too show them that they can't do anything what they want.

Toblerone, the MT has opened a case on your accusations. Give us a few days.

Hello,

Where can i email the screen shots from a draw refusal case with blauwvoet77.  This individual refused a draw 3 times even though both of our flags were surrounded by bombs and no miners were available and we both had 3 movable pieces each.  I had the 1 and 2 sevens to his spy ,3 and 4.

I would post the screen shot here but out of future privacy and strategy to both of us, I prefer to email it to the board.

Thanks,

pantelis

Have a Blessed Day!

The MT finds Nektar to have been unsportsmanlike in refusing a draw.  He will be deducted 50 points and Toblerone will be restored 13 points.

pantelis, no case will be acted upon by the MT unless it is posted in a public forum. We can assist you to do this but we will not open a case until it is done.
